10 mile, 5 mile and shorter walks all available in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. Join in with whatever distance suits you. Who knows what the weather will do so bring boots/shoes, waterproofs, sun cream, water bottles to cover all climes.
Loos and drinking water taps are available at the farm ‘shed’ and basic refreshments will be served from 10.30am with the walks kicking off at 11am.
The Betsey Wynne pub (thebetseywynne.co.uk) is a short walk from the Home Farm (Day Nursery) if anyone fancies lunch/drinks there afterwards (or before!). Warning – it’s likely to be very busy. The Swanbourne Fete is also taking place in the afternoon at Swanbourne House School if you want to make a day of it.
The walks are free of charge but if you want to donate to the charities or buy a World Walk T-shirt/cap or make a donation to any of the charities on the day, it would be hugely appreciated. All three are terrific causes.
I will walk 20 miles as promised – anyone who wants to join for the full 20 will need to turn up at 7.30am (will not take Koko now, as the walk is over fields), so I can clock up 10 miles before 10.30am!
This is not an official day on my walk just a great opportunity, while in the UK, to catch up with family/friends/complete strangers, champion the charities and enjoy that precious gift, walking in the great outdoors! All welcome!
